USA News Grid is committed to accurate, fair, and reliable reporting. Despite our editorial review process, errors can occasionally occur, particularly given the speed at which news and market conditions change. This Corrections Policy explains how we identify, review, and correct errors in our published content, and how readers can report a suspected error to us.

1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

Every article published on USA News Grid goes through an editorial review process intended to catch factual errors, misattributed information, and unclear statements before publication. When an error does make it into a published article, we are committed to correcting it promptly, transparently, and in a manner that preserves the historical record of what was originally published.

2. Types of Corrections

We generally classify corrections into the following categories:

2.1 Correction

A correction addresses a factual error in a published article, such as an incorrect name, date, figure, quote, or statistic. Corrections are applied to the article text, and a correction note is typically added to the bottom of the article indicating what was changed and when.

2.2 Clarification

A clarification is used when the original wording of an article was technically accurate but could reasonably be misread or misunderstood by readers. We revise the language for clarity and, where appropriate, note that a clarification was made.

2.3 Update

Many of our articles, particularly breaking news, stock market, and weather coverage, are updated as a story develops and new information becomes available. Updates are a normal part of ongoing news coverage and are distinct from corrections, though we note significant updates with a revised timestamp.

2.4 Retraction

In rare cases where an article is found to be substantially or fundamentally inaccurate, misleading, or based on unreliable sourcing, we may retract the article entirely. A retracted article is replaced with a notice explaining that the article has been withdrawn and, where appropriate, the reason for the retraction.

3. How to Report an Error

If you believe you have found an error in one of our articles, we want to hear from you. Please contact us at contact@usanewsgrid.com with the following information, where possible:

• The headline and URL of the article in question;
• A description of the specific error you believe you have found;
• Supporting information or sources, if available, that support the correction;
• Your contact information, in case our editorial team needs further detail.

4. Our Review Process

Reported errors are reviewed by our editorial team as promptly as possible. We aim to verify the claim against original sourcing, official statements, or other reliable references before making a change. Minor typographical or formatting errors are typically corrected without a formal note. Factual errors that affect the substance of an article are corrected with a visible correction note. We do not guarantee a specific timeframe for every correction, as review times may vary depending on the complexity of the claim, but we prioritize corrections involving factual accuracy, safety, or legal matters.

5. How Corrections Are Labeled

When a published article is corrected in a way that affects its substance, we add a brief, clearly visible correction note to the article, typically stating what was changed and the date of the correction. We do not silently alter previously published facts, figures, or quotes without disclosure, except for minor copyediting fixes (such as spelling, punctuation, or formatting) that do not affect the substance of the reporting.

6. Breaking News and Developing Stories

Because breaking news, stock market movements, sports results, and weather alerts can change rapidly, articles in these categories are frequently updated as new information becomes available. This is a normal part of live coverage. Where a previously reported detail turns out to have been inaccurate at the time of publication, rather than simply superseded by later developments, we treat it as a correction under Section 2.1 rather than a routine update.

7. AI-Assisted Content

Some content on the Site may be created or assisted using artificial intelligence tools, as described in our AI Content Disclosure. AI-assisted content is subject to the same corrections process described in this policy. If you identify a suspected error in AI-assisted content, please report it using the process in Section 3, and note that the content involved AI assistance if known.

8. Reader Comments and User Content

This Corrections Policy applies to content authored or published by USA News Grid. It does not apply to comments or other content submitted by readers, which reflect the views of the individual commenter, as described in our Terms and Conditions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Corrections Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our editorial practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date.”
